About Mouse Macrophages

Our murine macrophages are generated in vitro from bone marrow cells in the presence of CSF-1 or isolated by peritoneal lavage 4 days after inoculation with thioglycolate, a classic technique that attracts immune cells to the peritoneum. Granulocytes migrate into the peritoneum within a few hours of thioglycolate injection and macrophages accumulate after several days.

These cells express typical macrophage markers such as CD14, CD11b, and CD172 (SIRP).
