About Total B Cells
We purify our B cells, or B lymphocytes, from the peripheral blood where is it unusual to find a B cell that is actively making antibody. There are both naïve and memory B cells patrolling the body, and we have both types available.
Our B cells have been stimulated to produce antibody in vitro using a method described by Vernino, et al. in “Generation of nondividing high rate Ig-secreting plasma cells in cultures of human B cells stimulated with anti-CD3-activated T cells.”
