About B-LCL
In addition to our selection of primary B cells derived directly from peripheral blood, we provide B cell lines transformed by infection with Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). These B lymphoblastoid cell lines can serve as a convenient source of antigen-presenting cells for mixed lymphocyte reactions or presentation of peptide antigens.
B-LCL do not typically shed infectious virus, but we recommend appropriate caution and handling in a biosafety level 2 laboratory.
