In addition to our mobilized CD34+ stem cells collected from peripheral blood, we now offer two new types of human hematopoietic stem cells derived from their natural habitat: bone marrow!

1) Bone Marrow CD34+ Stem Cells

These versatile immune cells give rise to all hematopoietic cell types — from platelets to mononuclear cells to granulocytes — and have the multipotency to create other cell types that can be difficult to source.

These cells are a natural fit for in vitro differentiation into all of the hematopoietic cell types listed above, plus other formulations not yet known.

Our bone marrow-derived CD34+ cells are isolated by positive immunomagnetic selection and tested for purity and viability. The cells are purified to remove the lipids and bony spicules typically found in bone marrow aspirates.

We test all bone marrow stem cell donors for blood-borne pathogens and confirm they are negative for HIV-1, HIV-2, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C.

2) Mesenchymal Stromal Cells

Our other new bone marrow-derived stem cell products are mesenchymal stem cells — or as they have been more recently classified, mesenchymal stromal cells. Mesenchymal stromal cells can be differentiated into adipocytes (fat cells), osteoblasts (bone cells), chondroblasts (cartilage cells), or myocytes (muscle cells) in vitro.

Many therapeutic applications have been proposed using mesenchymal stromal cells primarily for tissue repair. Scientists have explored use cases for mesenchymal stromal cells in the following areas:

  • Tissue regeneration
  • Gene therapy
  • Stem cell engraftment
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Graft-versus-host disease
  • Sepsis
  • Acute pancreatitis
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Other autoimmune disease treatment

 

All the Stem Cells You Need for Your Research

Both of our new bone marrow-derived stem cell products are collected from individual donors rather than pooled populations, giving you clarity on the contribution of the unique genetic makeup of the donor.

The CD34+ stem cells are simply isolated and frozen, while the mesenchymal stromal cells are harvested from the primary culture and then frozen.

We also have mobilized CD34+ stem cells, normal CD34+ cells, and mobilized PBMC ready to ship to your lab.
