At the 2017 ASCO-SITC Clinical Immuno-Oncology Symposium in Orlando, researchers from Biodesix presented a poster featuring our cells.
The poster, “Development of ddPCR blood-based diagnostic tests that simultaneously measure mRNA expression from immune and cancer cells,” demonstrates how Biodesix developed sensitive and specific methods that can be applied in gene expression studies in blood. These methods can be used to profile tumors that may not be accessible for biopsy.
Our Cells Used
To aid in this project, we prepared tumor cells for validation of the PD-L1 assay used in the research. We also provided activated and resting immune cells to compare with the tumor. Biodesix used our cells to detect biomarkers from small numbers of tumor cells and to determine how white blood cells might interfere with the assay.
